ServicesStorm Damage Repair
Storm Damage Repair in Yulee
After a tropical storm or a hard summer squall, we check your roof at no cost, photograph what the wind and rain did, and repair it to hold through the seasons ahead. We also tell you which fixes can't wait and which ones you can plan for later.

When a storm repair is the right call
Most storm damage is quiet. Think of a row of shingles with broken seal strips, a lifted ridge cap, flashing peeled back at a wall, or a branch scrape that cracked the granule layer. Each one lets wind-driven rain in, sometimes weeks after the sky has cleared.
We find those spots, document them and repair them with materials that match your roof. Then we talk through the bigger picture with you. A quick patch costs less today, but on an older roof it can mean paying for the same area twice. We lay out what each choice costs now and how long it should last, so the money you spend after a storm keeps working for you.
We have been in business since 1995, and that long view shapes how we advise. When a repair is the smart call, we say so. When the storm simply exposed a roof that had few good years left, you hear that from us plainly, along with what a roof replacement would cost and how long it would serve you.
What the work includes
Free post-storm inspection
We walk the roof and check the attic where we can reach it. Shingles, ridge, flashing, vents, skylight curbs and gutters all get a look.
Photos of every finding
You see what we saw, from creased shingles to torn underlayment. The same photos help when you talk with your insurance company.
A tarp if water can get in
When a spot is open to the next rain and the repair is still a few days out, we cover it with a tarp. We fasten it so it does not tear the shingles around it.
Matched, code-compliant repairs
We replace damaged shingles, panels, flashing and decking to Florida Building Code, and we pull the permit when the job calls for one.
Help with your claim
If you file a claim, we will work directly with your insurance adjuster, meeting them on the roof and pointing out each item we documented. Coverage is their call; our job is making sure nothing gets overlooked.
Cleanup and a final look
Nails, shingle scraps and storm debris are picked up from your yard and driveway, and we go over the finished repair with you.

Signs your roof took storm damage
- Shingles in the yard
- Even a few pieces on the ground mean wind got under the edges. The shingles still on the roof nearby may have lost their seal too.
- Creased or lifted tabs
- A faint line across a shingle tab means it bent back in the wind. It may lie flat now, but it will not hold against the next gust.
- New ceiling stains
- A brown ring or a damp spot after heavy wind-driven rain usually points to flashing or underlayment that let water past.
- Bent flashing or loose vents
- Metal around chimneys, walls and pipes can peel back. Vent caps can crack or shift where debris hit them.
- Overflowing or sagging gutters
- Gutters packed with leaves and granules, or pulled loose at the hangers, are worth a look. Our gutters page covers that work in more detail.
How a storm repair job runs
- 1
Your phone call
Tell us what you spotted and which day the weather hit. We pick a time that suits you for a technician to come out.
- 2
A close look up top
Our technician walks every slope, looks into the attic where it is reachable, and photographs each problem. Before leaving your home, they explain what they found in everyday words.
- 3
Options with costs and lifespan
You get a written estimate that compares a targeted repair against a larger fix, with what each should give you in years. If you are filing a claim, we coordinate with your adjuster.
- 4
Repair day
We protect plants and walkways, remove damaged material, check the decking underneath, and install the new work. Most storm repairs take a day or less.
- 5
Cleanup and walk-through
We sweep for nails, clear debris and show you the finished repair, along with anything we would keep an eye on.
What shapes your storm repair price
No two storms hit a roof the same way, so we price only after we have been up there and seen it. Your estimate lists each item, and we explain why it is on the page. Financing is available if the repair lands at a hard time.
- How much area was hit
- A handful of shingles is a small job. Damage across several slopes means more bundles, more flashing and a longer day for the crew.
- The condition of the decking
- Plywood that soaked up water turns soft and has to come out before new shingles go down. We can only see it once the damaged layer is lifted, and we send you photos if we find any.
- Roof material and age
- Matching older shingles can take extra work, and metal panels cost differently than asphalt. On a roof near the end of its life, a bigger repair now can cost less than repeated patches.
- Code and permit requirements
- Florida rules limit how much of an older roof can be repaired before that section must meet current code. When that applies, we explain it before any work starts.
Storm damage repair questions
- Should I call my insurance company or a roofer first?
- Many people have us inspect first, since the inspection is free and tells you whether the damage is worth a claim. If it is, you file with your insurer and we work directly with your adjuster. We never decide coverage, but our photos make the conversation clearer.
- Is it really storm damage or just an old roof?
- Sometimes it is both. Wind damage leaves telltale signs like creased tabs, torn edges and fresh debris marks, while age shows as granule loss and brittle shingles across the whole roof. We tell you honestly which is which.
- Will new shingles look different from my old ones?
- We bring the closest color and profile on the market today and show you samples before any work begins. Fresh shingles usually look a shade lighter for a few months, then weather in with sun and rain. On a metal roof, we match panel profile and finish wherever the manufacturer still makes them.
- Can I wait until the end of hurricane season to fix it?
- Small cosmetic damage can sometimes wait, and we will tell you if yours can. Lifted shingles and open flashing usually cannot, because each storm afterward pushes more water through the same weak spot.
- Do you work in nearby towns too?
- Yes. Along with Yulee, we inspect and repair storm damage in Fernandina Beach, Hilliard, Nassau Village-Ratliff and other communities across the area. Our Service Areas page lists them.
